Summer Glau
Glau's debut television role was as a ballerina in a guest role in the 2002 episode of the television show Angel. The director who spotted her was JossWhedon who then cast her as River Tam in the critically-acclaimed TV series Firefly. The role she played was also reprised for Serenity's feature film sequel. Glau had earlier applied to play the Power Ranger (White Wild Force Ranger alyssa Eile) part in Power Rangers Wild Force, but was rejected by Jessica Rey. She played Shelly who was a high school senior in the episode Sleepover. She also appeared on the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode, "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom?" ", season two of The Unit as Crystal Burns (the girl of Jeremy Erhart). Glau played Tess Doerner (a paranoid, schizophrenic returningee) in the second season of The 4400. From season three, she was an recurring character. Mammoth was her horror comedy character. Glau played the role of The Initiation of Sarah, an ABC Family TV movie. Glau played Cameron Phillips, a Terminator-infiltration unit that was sent back to Skynet to protect John Connor (and Sarah Connor). The seventh episode of the series, "The Demon Hand" included scenes in which Glau (as Cameron) dances ballet. Glau also played Allison Young (Cameron’s human doppelganger in the second season episodes, "Allison of Palmdale" and"Born to Run". Glau has also guest-starred as herself in the episode of 2009 of the CBS situation comedy The Big Bang Theory
