Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, born Jan. 19, 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn. to a family of 12 poor kids who would grow with them eventually. She learned early on how to conquer of difficulties through her vibrant and vivid imagination. Prior to learning how to write or read, she composed her own songs. The first guitar she received was gifted by her mother when she was eighteen. She started singing at the Knoxville Tenn station by the age of 11. The following year, she made her first album with Gold Band Records an independent small label. At the age of 16, she made herself known to the community, but her ambition was bigger. After she finished her high school, in 1964 she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her first two charting albums from Monument Records. Porter Wagoner's syndicated tv show needed a new singer at around the time. Parton accepted the role in the year 1966. She she joined RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. But she resigned from the show in 1974, as her own releases such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were out-charting their collaborations. Parton's song, I Will Never Be Loved by You (for Wagoner), was able to reach the number. 1 spot after they separated. The song of Parton in 1974."I Will Always Love You" peaked at No.
